The instructions that are linked above are very early ones. There are not 2 Power Valve opening timings available with the senior Max EVO. The second earth wire is a smaller sized eyelet and it should not be connected to earth on the senior or junior Max EVO engines.Sorry but I do not know what the single opening timing is.Hey Ian, what do you make of this -Did they change something from the series 1 loom to series 2 loom that made it a single only point of opening?Evo doesn't seem to start as easily or smoothly as the prevo (prevo motor with evo bolt ons). Wondering if it's the ground being on the bracket rather than on the head.Reply by on June 28, 2016 at 23:42.

Anyone have info that can help here would be awesome! I have 2 Rotax motors, both have the new evo upgrades. One runs perfectly, revs 15K, tons of power both top and bottom. The 2nd motor has even more power on bottom, but cannot get past 13100. The green bellows is quite difficult to compress by hand. Running the motor on the stand, the powervalve stays open from 0-9000 rpm, then it looks like it wants to start to close?

The new mounting brackets are in place, double checked all of the instructions and the solenoid has the new length hoses, plus the solenoid is mounted with the silver outlet pointing upwards. The new mount instructions do not call for the solenoid to have its own rubber mount. Any info appreciated! Thanks.Reply by on September 27, 2017 at 10:58. The bellows will only move easily if you remove the hose to the solenoid, otherwise yes its nearly impossible. You have 2 engines so I have to assume you have both sets of hoses and wiring the same?? If all else looks good I'd suggest you swap component by component from one engine to the other.

Maybe start with all your hoses as a 'set'.I once had a wire connector not fitted correctly into a solenoid so that got no signal. There is no powervalve on a Junior Max, so if you get to 13100 and then no higher it is not a problem with the powervalve. Even if it is stuck open or shut it should still rev out. Take a look at jetting and carb setup??.Reply by on September 27, 2017 at 11:05.
